Ten years after the appearance of the Metapolis Dictionary of Advanced Architecture IAAC boosts The Green Dictionary, an ambitious multi-format project (print and digital) focused on sustainable development issues, energy self-sufficiency , creative management of resources, innovation and interaction with the environment, recycling and urban renaturation, sensitive contexts, intelligent cities, relational spaces, active natures, permaculture and more.
The Green Dictionary will be a collective effort boost by IAAC involving recognized experts, IAAC current students and the big IAAC alumni community, collaborative international research units and new incentives and energies.

The Master Project I has finished off with students presenting this apparatus along with a series of experiments and videos they have done. Discussions with Tutors Marco Poletto and Claudia Pasquero along with guest critics, Faculty Marta Malé-Alemany and Dana cuff from UCLA spa.ucla.edu/deptfaculty have brought about some interesting and definitive conclusions on the experiments.

For this experiment the materials used were, wax, plaster and soapy water+wax. The mappings were a 2×2 and a 3x3cm grid and the length was 40cm.

Being able to use materials that can freeze the moment makes it easier to analise the results but on the other hand it loses the on going possibility of self organizing over and over again.

Because of technical difficulties it was impossible to dip the sample more than once, and that made the results very unstable. I’m now working on a new apparatus that will allow even longer samples to be dipped many times giving them more stability.
