The material being studies is Bimetals. The metal shows bending and relaxation with response to temperature.
Here a particular type of prototype was studied in order to understand what the appropriate size of one unit is in order to achieve maximum solar radiation to be able to open and close.

The amount of material used was controlled by its length and it width thus trying to optimize the material used and the bending was allowed to a maximum of 45 degrees to prevent breaking.

The picture above shows the digital representation of the module that was tested and its various parameters that could be controlled.

Galapagos was run with respect to both the surfaces but the results received were too many to analyses and sort.Hence to make the result clearer Galapagos was run again but this time using on the portion of the element that could open and close ( As the material optimization would almost still be relatively the same). The various results were colour coded to get a better understanding.

The visualization above is based on the location of the person 1 at a given point in time.
