The borders in the city have been build on averages, standarized dimensions. What if the borders respond, instead of to this static conditions, to the real time data generated by the spatial needs of the people? A topography of borders able to adapt to the real necesities of the city.

We began to define the concept of borders, as well as their implications and constraints. We also started to develop a catalog with all the parameters that we considered necessary in order to understand the borders according to the different urban activities which they make possible or impossible.

First impressions on the site

The borders of the port called particularly our attention, as spatial determinants and generators. We began to explore some of their basic conditions: their location, materiality, temporality, evolutionary character, psychological character and their impact on the area.
