Peter Eisenman, the internationally recognized architect and educator, is founder and design principal of Eisenman Architects, a design office in New York City. The firm’s current projects include the one-million-square-foot, six building cultural complex, the City of Culture of Galicia in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, two buildings of which were opened in January this year; a railroad station in Pompeii, a master plan and shopping center for the waterfront development of Pozzouli, Italy, and a residential condominium in Milan.
Among Eisenman Architects’ award-winning projects are the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe in Berlin, the Wexner Center for the Visual Arts, Fine Arts Library at The Ohio State University in Columbus, and the Koizumi Sangya Corporation headquarters building in Tokyo, which received National Honor Awards for Design from the American Institute of Architects.
