IAAC Valldaura Inauguration

Valldaura is IAAC’s countryside campus and self-sufficiency research center, situated in the wonderful Collserola Natural Park. Yesterday, December 4th, 2012 has been named Valldaura Day in IAAC’s history.  On this day, we celebrated the 862nd anniversary of the first settlement in Valldaura (1150), when a group of Cistercian monks built their ancient Monastery on the site. In order to commemorate this occasion, the IAAC Community (students, faculty and collaborators) were called to create the first IAAC Forest Garden, planting 100 trees.  It was a very special day for the IAAC community, and the future of the institute.
