This weekend we had an intensive workshop at IAAC building our 1:1 pavilions for the experimental structures course. Next Monday the 11th of March there will be the final presentation.

During this week, Smart Citizen platform will be displayed at the World Mobile Congress 2013. At the entrance of the Mobile Barcelona Festival booth (3C28 in hall 3) organized by mLove; IaaC and Fab Lab Bcn, together with MID and Hangar.org, features the Smart Citizen platform. In his lecture entitled ‘Ending Poverty in 10 Years’, Mr. Negroponte talked about how technology can help developing countries fight against poverty by teaching kids means to educate themselves. ”If you can learn to read, you can read to learn”.
Before giving his lecture today, Nicholas Negroponte visited IaaC. During the tour around the Institute’s facilities, Mr. Negroponte had the opportunity to watch the student’s projects and talk with them about their work.
