MAA Workshop with Marco Galofaro – Day 1
The three day workshop is connected with the studio1 class. During these 3 days the students are going to create parts of a physical model of the city of Barcelona using 3 different techniques and 3 different materials. The students Of the MAA 2010-11 completed the first 2 assignments for the digital fabrication class. The Bench and the brick were successfully completed with the use of a CNC laser cutter and a CNC 3d printer. The students with these design projects managed to get a first idea of digital fabrication techniques and the use of CNC technology.
IaaC at Bolivia Architecture Biennale, 3.600m above the sea level
3.600m above the sea level. The XI Architecture Biennale of Bolivia has been the most international edition of its history. This biennale had a very significant focus on sustainable architecture and emergent technologies, putting toghether experts from Japan, Argentina, England or Spain, in a cycle of conferences that took place at different sites in La Paz, such as the Colegio de Arquitectos de La Paz building, and the San Francisco Museum.
