Check out the Final Presentations of the Global Summer school 2014 “The Next City” in Barcelona. The presentations were done with video mapping, and prototypes of the proposals were also displayed in function for the jury and public present.
Day 10 of the Global summer School in Barcelona marked the start of the Synthesis phase, then continued through day 11. Day 9 of the Global Summer School in Barcelona started with a Digital Design Tools tutorial run by IAAC Global School Coordinator and Computational Expert Luis Fraguada. The groups then had the opportunity to work on their project proposals and initial prototypes, which were then later presented in the Mid-Presentation of the GSS.
The Global Sumer School day 8 in Barcelona continued with IAAC Physical Computing expert Guillem Camprodon, developing a practical approach for designing, testing and pro typing energy generation systems. In the evening, some of the IAAC Alumni presented the works they developed during the Masters in Advanced Architecture.
Over the weekend, on days 5 and 6 of the GSS2014, the Barcelona group were introduced to Digital Design Tools for Architecture and Urbanism. Both mornings the students had a Digital Design Tools Tutorial with Luis E. Fraguada, and then in the afternoon worked on their Digital Designs in groups.
In collaboration with the exhibition Parameter: Digital Collaborative Design in Tel Aviv, IAAC faculty Areti Markopoulou and Luis Fraguada held a five day workshop called Data Driven Structures.
