Last night, for the MAA OPENING LECTURE, IAAC welcomed John Palmesino and Hernan Diaz Alonso. John Palmesino is a swiss architect and urbanist, he has lead the researches at ETH Studio Basel–Contemporary City Institute between 2003 and 2007. He has also co-founded Multiplicity, an international research network involved in contemporary architecture, urbanism, arts and general culture. [...]
BCN is worldwide known by its traditionally innovative dedication to urbanism and public space. Following up the research carried out by the IAAC in the last few years in relation to city neighbourhoods and their self-sufficiency, and superblocks and mobility, this IS is now addressing the question of the public space and its intelligence.
